New president is elected by the North of Ireland Veterinary Association
At its recent Annual General Meeting, the North of Ireland Veterinary Association (NIVA) elected Simon Doherty MRCVS as the new president for 2015-2016 after serving a year as junior vice president.The role of NIVA is primarily to speak as one voice to represent the interests and views of all sectors within the local veterinary profession – in practice, government, research, industry and academia, along with communicating and developing important links with other stakeholders in the veterinary and animal health sectors.
