CJAM ‘Bulks’ up to deliver conference success

CJAM was instrumental in delivering the recent Bulk2014 conference on behalf of the Materials Handling Engineers Association (MHEA), which saw more than 80 bulk handling industry leaders gather for another successful turnout at the sector’s premier professional networking event.The CJAM team took on responsibility for co-ordinating all aspects of the event, from arranging the venue at Lincolnshire’s Forest Pines Conference Centre to recruiting industry leading exhibitors to display at the conference.

Ahead of the event, we issued a call for papers that key industry figures wished to present during the conference. Submissions were compiled and used to create a comprehensive two-day programme of seminars and workshops. We promoted this programme in advance through our media partners in the bulk handling sector, and via bespoke marketing materials developed by CJAM, to attract delegates whose registrations we also collated.

The success of the event was significantly boosted by the quality of supporters, exhibitors and speakers brought on board by CJAM. Industry leading firms Geo Robson and Flexco were enlisted as headline sponsors, while we sold exhibition space to more than 20 major companies involved in the supply of powder and bulk handling equipment and services.

CJAM signed up senior industry representatives to deliver keynote and plenary presentations during the conference’s workshop sessions. We also booked special guest speaker, former Premiership footballer Dean Windass, to share his experiences with delegates in the relaxing after-dinner environment on the first evening of the event.

Commenting on the successful conference, MHEA secretary Peter Webster said: “We were delighted to see so many key industry figures and exhibitors at Bulk2014. CJAM’s support in handling the complete organisation of all elements was vital to making the event a great success not only for MHEA but for the delegates and companies who chose to attend.”
